Nadia

In turn-of-the-century France, young inventor Jean meets the mysterious and beautiful Nadia, a circus performer pursued by villians for her strange gem, the Blue Water. The two young people soon team up to evade the crooks and seek out Nadia's lost heritage. Classic children's adventure anime!

Nadia aired in Japan from 1990-91 and was the most popular children's TV program that season. However, there is plenty in Nadia that will appeal to older viewers as well. The show is a fan-favourite world-wide and Nadia herself frequently rates as one of the all-time most popular anime characters.

The title Fushigi no Umi no Nadia means "Nadia of the Mysterious Seas". The official English title (decided by the producer, NHK) is "Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water". "Nadia" was previously released in English by Streamline Pictures on VHS and laserdisc.  A subtitled edition is now published by ADV.

There are 39 episodes in Nadia, plus a movie.
