During a long-ago war, a doomed woman used forbidden magic to send her infant son, the heir to clan of elite ninja, into the future. Born in the modern day, Recca knows nothing of his heritage but is obsessed with all things ninja. When strange enemies start to appear, Recca's awesome fire-based powers begin to reawaken - but they are not a force to be easily mastered! Recca was very popular and long-running as a manga and later as a TV series. The manga is imported by Viz. English-language DVD release began October 2004. The TV version is 42 episodes long.
