Moon S Series Illustrated Episode Summaries The S series illustrated episode summaries were created as a fan-made project in 1998-1999 when S series was not available in English . For this reason the summaries sometimes use Japanese names instead of the official English names that came out later (the English TV version started in June of 2000). The illustrated summary web pages summarize the original Japanese version of each episode. One tricky translation problem in S series was the word "messiah" which was used in the Japanese version to describe the person who could control the Sacred Chalice/Purity Chalice. Previously these summaries used the word "messiah" which was a literal quotation from the Japanese version but to match the American TV version and to avoid cross-cultural confusion I am updating the summaries to use the word "sovereign". Please note that Sailor Moon S series is now available on DVD in many countries so please purchase the official product if you are able to. |

"The Silence is approaching... we can't stop it!" The world seemed frozen, bathed in an strange red glow. Everyone had turned to statues, including the Sailor Senshi, but Rei was somehow unaffected. A black tornado started to tear apart the city. There was a flash of light and Rei turned around to see a huge four-pointed crystal. "You're the sovereign... Please, save them!" she cried. The crystal split into three parts and disappeared. Rei turned back to see the tornado smashing the Sailor Senshi apart. |
