Molly and Melvin looked at each other in surprise. They had kept it a secret from each other because they were embarrassed. Molly was relieved to learn that this was why Melvin had been acting nervously. She told him he didn't have to be so worried. Serena pointed out that Molly had had the same feelings.

That night Melvin was very psyched up and said that he had to get a lot of sleep for next day's event. Melvin got into his bed and started counting sheep. But Melvin was very nervous and couldn't fall asleep.
Meanwhile the daimon egg embedded itself into the heart statue at the top of Lover's Park.

Early the next morning, Melvin was up to 30,003 sheep, and still couldn't sleep. Meanwhile...
Haruka felt that there was an evil presence in the park. Michiru knew that the daimon was going to appear. They were determined not to give it the talisman.

The next day Melvin was ultra-nervous as the contest was about to begin. Serena told Molly and Melvin to try hard. Then they ran into the other girls, who had come to cheer on Melvin and Molly.


Mina quipped, "Where there's love, Mina has to be there!" "It looks like fun," commented Lita. Amy said, "Maybe it will be a good lesson." Everyone immediately asked, "For what?"
Amy blushed. "Just a figure of speech," she stammered.
Then Serena spotted Haruka and Michiru in the contestants line-up. "Between girls?" wondered Serena.
